Horizontal Centrifugal Pumps
Horizontal Centrifugal Pumps

Argal horizontal centrifugal pumps are manufactured with thermoplastic polymers of ample chemical resistance, no metallic part in touch with the liquid and electric motor power proportional to the specific weight of the liquid pumped such that the hydraulic performance the pump is capable to deliver can be exploited to the fullest. These pumps are designed to be flooded at all times

Construction variants of Argal centrifugal pumps:

Mechanical sealed direct drive

In traditional pumps with mechanical drive the impeller is fixed on the extension of the motor shaft and the sealing between the pump body and the motor is obtained by the sliding rings of the mechanical seal. This construction mostly applies to liquids laden with solids in suspension for friction is limited to the sliding faces of the mechanical seal.

Seal less magnetic drive

For clean liquids or liquids moderately laden with solids, the magnetic drive is preferred for the impeller sealed into the casing prevents any loss of liquid. Drive is provided  by the magnetic link existent between the permanent magnets embedded in the impeller and the permanent magnets carried  by the magnet drive essay (  drum external to the casing ) that rotates at the speed of the shaft of the electric motor to which is mechanically mated to.

Long coupled or Close coupled

Long coupled

With bearings housing and separate electric motor connected by mean of elastic coupling and bolted to a common base plate.

Close coupled

Monoblock with pump assy flange directly mated to the flange of the motor.
